Mac Life

Okay, if you asked me a year ago, heck even 6 months ago if I would ever be a Mac user I would have told you no. Much has changed on that front. I guess you could say that I am all in now. I have gone from a 5 monitor, full tower workstation with neon lights and a constant background fan noise, to a single monitor (all be it a very wide monitor) and the small quiet foot print of a MacBook Pro. What I have learned is that I really waited till the right time to make such a transition as all the benefits of the Apple ecosystem are in place and the newish M1 and M1 Max processors seem to eat bits and bytes as a before dinner warmup to the full coarse meal. While I have not put my new system through its paces I have not run into anything that makes me think that it will not out perform my now expired workstation.

Probably the oddest thing that seems to have come out of this transition has been some sort of change in mindset. Like now you are a Mac owner and you cannot just wear dark t-shirts and old ratty old clothes. Mister! You need to clean up your act and start drinking water and being more health conscience and a whole series of other things. I know that sounds really dumb, like how could owning a Mac having anything to do with that. Yet, here I am, drinking water, wearing clothing with color and all the ratty clothing have found their way to the trash bin.

Do not get my wrong I am not complaining about these, well upgrades they were just total unexpected. I wonder how far these changes will go through. Could I ended up driving one of those electric things, you know the 4 wheeled ones with the big battery…. that is just too scary to think about.
